About Us
The Chelford Players is a small amateur drama group based at the Village Hall in Chelford and have been performing plays for almost 50 years. We rehearse on Tuesday evenings.
We are always keen to welcome new members for:
- painting scenery or props
- costume making
- building a stage
- acting
- singing
- simply being involved by selling tickets for our event.
Membership is £25 for adults and it is paid annually. We do not currently have any children with our committee but that is not to say we won't in the future; we have put on mainly adult themed plays recently so a child cast has not been needed. If we do put on any children based productions in the future, we will need a director who has experience in this area and we are open to anyone contacting us in this regard. We would love to put on a pantomime in the future but we currently do not have the experience necessary right now, however, we are of course happy to discuss this in the future.
If you have any queries or would like to be involved with the Chelford Players, please contact us by Facebook or Twitter or send an email to [email protected].

Stuart Winter |
Stuart is our Treasurer and unlike the other members, is happy to watch from afar! Stuart has joined us recently but who knows, maybe one day we will twist his arm to tread the boards......! He did use to be on the stage as a child so he does have the experience! |

Charlie Montaldo |
Charlie joined the Players in 2019 ahead of their Winter production and helped out backstage. Charlie is very passionate about keeping village life and traditions going and is now the Secretary for the Committee. She has even been roped into their last two productions so who knows what the future holds! |
